About the Show:
About the show: In the local stage adaptation by playwrights Daniel Goff and Daniel Reardon, "A Christmas Carol" takes on vibrant new life. Ebenezer Scrooge, the miserly protagonist, is visited on Christmas Eve by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come. Goff and Reardon's creative reimagining infuses fresh energy into the timeless story, and this year, their script will be new and improved with more music and dance, and the production will be getting a fresh look with new costumes and improved sets and technical elements. Last year, audiences were enchanted by Scrooge's transformation, and as A Christmas Carol becomes part of Rolla's annual Christmas traditions, it will remain a powerful reminder of the importance of love, compassion, and second chances.
Time Commitment:
Rehearsals: Rehearsals will be held on weeknights & weekends from October 23 – December 6. There will be no rehearsals on Sundays, but there will be two Sunday afternoon performances in December. We will work with actors’ conflicts to the best of our ability, but conflicts after November 26 may affect casting decisions.
Performances: If actors are not available for all performances, they may still be considered to share a role or be assigned an understudy. Performance dates are December 7 – 17, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7:30, and Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00.
