
Think you can write and produce a play in 24 hours?
OAT is partnering with area high schools to bring you an evening of new works written, directed, and performed by students in just 24 hours. Students in grades 9-12 can participate.

Where: Ozark Actors Theatre 701 N. Cedar St., Rolla, MO 65401
When: February 18 and 19 (public performance Saturday at 7:30)

Friday at Ozark Actors Theatre
6:00-7:00 PM- Choose groups and brainstorm Story Ideas and Characters
Saturday at OAT & Rolla HS
9:00-10:00 AM 1st Read throughs, edits, etc.
10:00 AM-12:00 PM Blocking & Memorization
12:00-12:30 PM Lunch Break on campus bring your own lunch or money to order pizza
12:30-3:30 PM Memorization, rehearsals & tech
3:30-5:00 PM: Dinner Break...leave
5:00-7:00 PM: Final Dress rehearsals
7:30 PM: Performances

Writing Guidelines
1 Set: No location/scene changes...time lapses are acceptable if needed
10-15 pages in length
Write for stage not film
Avoid prop/costume heavy shows…let your writing tell the story
Keep language and content appropriate
Avoid lengthy monologues (5-6 sentences at most and don’t overload 1 character w/ multiple monologues)
Comedic/Dramatic
If you want me to print the script, I will need you to share your document with me by 9:00 AM Saturday morning!
MEET OAT JR 2021
KENNEDY
Kennedy is thrilled to be a part of OAT JR. Kennedy has done a number of community theatre shows with Fine Linen Theatre and OAT, his favorite roles include: Crutchie (NEWSIES), Micheal(ELF) and Fred (CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN). He also competes in dance competitions with Stonecrest Dance Center. Kennedy is grateful for his friends and family.
AUDREY
Audrey is delighted to be joining OAT’s traveling performance troupe! She has previously been seen in OAT’s productions of FOOTLOOSE, DAMN YANKEES, ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, MEET ME IN ST LOUIS (Tootie), and many more! Audrey is grateful to her whole support team for all of their love and encouragement.
JERSY
Jersy began her journey in musical theatre on the OAT stage in 2019 as Jane Banks in MARY POPPINS. Other credits include Imogene Herdman in THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER, Savannah in Disney’s FREAKY FRIDAY at Capital City Productions in Jefferson City, and performing on stage for Taylor Louderman’s Power of Theatre.
ZACHARY
Zach is sixteen and attends Rolla High School. He has been in several OAT shows including THE WIZARD OF OZ, PETER PAN, and ELF, as well as high school shows such as THE ADDAMS FAMILY, THE LITTLE MERMAID, and THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST. Zach also loves designing and constructing costumes for theatre.
