ELVIS LIVES: VIVA LAS VEGAS January 2007

It was an event not to be missed!

2006 Summer Production of GYPSY

GYPSY brought many memorable songs to the OAT stage! GYPSY is the ultimate story about an aggressive stage mother. Join Rose, June and Louise in their trip across the United States during the 1920's, when vaudeville was dying and burlesque was born. Jule Styne's music and Stephen Sondheim's lyrics included Let Me Entertain You, Some People, You'll Never Get Away from Me, If Momma Was Married, All I Need Is the Girl, Everything's Coming Up Roses, You Gotta Get A Gimmick and Together Wherever We Go.

This gripping story that launched Ethel Merman to stardom, shared a glimpse of theatrical history. Combined with many of your favorite Broadway tunes, it’s was a show not to be missed.

2006 Summer Production of The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940

This ingenious and wildly comic romp which enjoyed a long and critically hailed run both on and Off-Broadway will keep you laughing throughout. Poking antic fun at the more ridiculous aspects of "show biz" and the corny thrillers of Hollywood's heyday, the play is a non-stop barrage of laughter as those assembled (or at least those who aren't killed off) untangle the mystery of the "Stage Door Slasher." John Bishop combines wit and showbiz glitter in a relentlessly convoluted murder-mystery plot, with twist piled on twist that is enormously fun. Even the most serious don’t have a chance and will have to give way and start laughing at this highly enjoyable silliness.
