Missoula Children’s Theatre is coming to Ozark Actors Theatre October 17-22, 2016.
A group audition will be held for the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) production of RUMPELSTILTSKIN, on Monday, October 17 at 4pm-6pm, all auditioners should arrive by 4pm and plan to stay for the full two hours. Approximately 50-60 roles are available for local students. Assistant Directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week, and to take on essential backstage responsibilities. All students, grades kindergarten through 12th grade, are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary and there is no cost to participate.
The Missoula Children’s Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. The MCT Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 4p.m. to 8:30p.m. each day. All who are cast will be provided a detailed rehearsal schedule for the week at the conclusion of the audition. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition, rehearsal will end by 8:30pm. Although not all cast members will be needed at every rehearsal session, those auditioning should have a clear schedule for the entire week and if cast, be able to attend all rehearsals required for their role and both performances. Cast members scheduled for a full 4.5 hours of rehearsal will be asked to bring a sack lunch or snack.
Audiences are invited to join in the fun of Festival Time and help Clara guess a mischievous little gnome’s name on Saturday, October 22 at 3pm and 5:30pm when the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) and over 50 local students perform RUMPELSTILTSKIN, an original musical adaptation of this classic tale. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for children and students .
The local cast features Kaitlin Baker as Rumpelstiltskin, Christabel Southhards and Stella Massaro as Clara, Bethany Donnell as Queen Beatrice, Jordan Slieter as the King and Eireena Bay as the Jester. Also featured are Sierra Cole, Nicky Dawes, Chloe French, Emma Linkeman, and Molly Linkeman as Wizards; Carter Chance, Adrianna Coleman, Scarlett Floyd, Isaiah Hockersmith, Emily Hounsom, Allyson Krueger, Alessandra Obrist, Kyra Oby, Jordan Pohl, and Audrey Smith as Gnomes; and Julia Leventis and Hannah Wolfe as Knights. To complete the ensemble, Elizabeth Allman, Nadeia Brooks, Charlee Chance, Jaina Coleman, Rebekah Cook, Benjamin Donnell, Lilly Evans, Maggie Garcia, Brooklyn Herdade, Savannah Huber, Willa Johnson, Lucas Lara, Neely Leathers, Miriam Leigh, Zoe Light, Mikayla Messenger, Abigail Neulinger, Berwynn Phillips, Paige Stanley, and Mary Strange will appear as Villagers and Kyler Bell, Ivy Berger, Aaron Coleman, Noah Harman, Maizy Hill, Madison Hutton, Shannon Luebbert, Washington Phillips, Olivia Register, Abbi Thomas, and Kayleigh Wiggins as the busy Bees. Ary Burgus and Jodi Queen have served as invaluable Assistant Directors throughout the week.
RUMPELSTILTSKIN is part of the Missoula Children’s Theatre’s unique international touring project, and is presented in Rolla by Ozark Actors Theatre with support from Walmart Distribution Center, Kent Jewelry, Jackson Foundation for the Arts, McDonald’s, Optimist Club of Rolla, and Steve Bowles- Farmer’s Insurance.
