The Performing Arts Series at Ozark Actors Theatre is designed to bring guest artists in to the Cedar Street Playhouse year-round, providing the community with access to performances and presentations from the various performing arts: song, dance, theatre, cabaret, comedy, magic, etc.
OAT will also schedule Master Classes and Workshops so the community can interact with and learn performance skills directly from the guest artist performers.
This will not be a subscription series, but rather an umbrella initiative giving both OAT and the community flexibility in deciding which artists to bring in and which performances to attend. The Performing Arts Series will also include established OAT favorites such as “So You Think You Can Dance: Rolla” and “Follies”.

THE MISSION: To perform, teach, develop, and promote improvisational theatre.
ABOUT US: There are eight million stories in the naked city, and this one is ours. Stop Making Sense Improv was formed in February 2012 with a handful of willing co-conspirators, a desire to perform and delight, and a total disregard for convention… we’ve been bringing hilarious improvisational theater to central Missouri ever since! As the only professional improv troupe in mid-Missouri, we enrich our community through light-hearted performances that are entirely made up on the spot from audience suggestions! We produce shows and provide improvisational theater classes that foster the development of new performers and provide the community with the benefits of improvisational theater.
Our corporate workshops provide local businesses with tools to help improve trust, communication, and creativity; and to deal with the difficulties of organizational change. We are inclusive, optimistic, and talented!
